Problem

In 2000 there was no retailer who targeted the "Verge Culture" demographic. Focused on early adopting digital natives who follow trends in music, fashion, art, and technology.

Solution

Karmaloop leveraged new media techniques to attract a millennial customer base.

What made Karmaloop unique?

The early days of Karmaloop allowed them to acquire customer effectively with little to no costs. They also aggregated demand from some of the top streetwear brands in the industry

At the time the brands being sold on Karmaloop were very hard to find. Karmaloop gave these brands visibility online and helped expand the market for these lifestyle brands.

Karmaloop $120M per year, Increased PLNDR from $4M to $38M as head of marketing
Increased viral invites by 1700% with features connecting with friends via Facebook and email

Gave non developers the ability to create application without code. It allowed companies to build complex applications in a fraction of the time

The timing was early before Android and Iphone ever existed. Pyxis was one of the first in the space allow such functionality.
